APCUG – Association Of PC User Groups
The APCUG is an International Association Of Technology and Computer user Groups. It is a valuable resource for technology and computer user groups, such as the Charlotte County Computer Group, helping them stay connected, informed, and effective in their mission to support and educate their members.
The association offers various services to member groups, including three monthly Wednesday Workshops and quarterly Saturday Safaris. These workshops provide presentations on various topics to enhance group members’ knowledge and expertise in multiple technology areas. In addition, the videos are available on YouTube for member groups to use at monthly or Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings.
Wednesday Workshops are held on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays of each month. The 3rd Wednesday of each month is primarily about Linux while the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays are about general technology topics. Saturday Safaris are held 4 times a year in February, May, August, and November.
If you have interest in attending the Wednesday Workshops or the Saturday Safaris, you must register ahead of time with APCUG to receive a signup form for each of the presentations. The Wednesday Workshops signup usually show up by email on Monday morning. The deadline is usually Tuesday evening to respond. You must be a member of the Charlotte County Computer Group to participate.
To participate in the Wednesday and Saturday Workshops, you must first register with APCUG. Again, you must also be a member of the Charlotte County Computer Group to signup.
